বৃহস্পতিবার সকাল সাড়ে ৮টায় বিমান বাংলাদেশ এয়ারলাইন্সের বিজি-১৪৬ ফ্লাইটে মোহাম্মদ জিয়াউদ্দিন নামে দুবাই থেকে বাংলাদেশে আসেন।
জানা যায, ওই ব্যক্তির নাম মোহাম্মদ জিয়াউদ্দিন। তার পায়ুনালি থেকে ২৩ পিস স্বর্ণের বার উদ্ধার করা হয়। ধারণা করা হচ্ছে, তার পেটে আরো স্বর্ণ লুকিয়ে রাখা হয়েছে। তা উদ্ধারের চেষ্টা করছে শুল্ক গায়েন্দাদল।
কাস্টমস গোয়েন্দা ও তদন্ত অধিদপ্তর চট্টগ্রামের যুগ্ম পরিচালক সাইফুর রহমান বলেন, গোপন সংবাদের ভিত্তিতে কাস্টমস গোয়েন্দা ও তদন্ত অধিদপ্তরের একটি দল বৃহস্পতিবার সকালে দুবাই থেকে বিজি-১৪৮ ফ্লাইটে আসা যাত্রীর শরীর তল্লাশি করে লুকায়িত অবস্থায় ২৩ পিস স্বর্ণবার উদ্ধার করে। যার ওজন ২ কেজি ৭০০ গ্রাম।
তিনি আরো জানান, হাটহাজারীর এনায়েতপুরের মোহাম্মদ জিয়াউদ্দিন নামের ওই যাত্রীর রেক্টামে আরো স্বর্ণবার আছে বলে সন্দেহ করা হচ্ছে। স্ক্যানিং করে বের করার চেষ্টা চলছে।
