সাবেক যোগাযোগমন্ত্রী সৈয়দ আবুল হোসেন রাজধানীর ইউনাইটেড হাসপাতালে চিকিৎসাধীন অবস্থায় মঙ্গলবার দিবাগত রাত ২টা ৫ মিনিটে শেষ নিঃশ্বাস ত্যাগ করেন (ইন্না লিল্লাহি ওয়া ইন্না ইলাইহি রাজিউন)। মৃত্যুকালে তাঁর বয়স হয়েছিল ৭২ বছর।
মরহুমের আত্মার মাগফিরাত কামনা করে তাঁর শোকসন্তপ্ত পরিবারের সদস্যদের প্রতি গভীর সমবেদনা জানাই।
